College Art Association (CAA)

The College Art Association is a member-­based organization that promotes excellence in the scholarship and teaching of the history, criticism, and practice of the visual arts. The organization organizes a national annual con­ference, acts as an advocate in the ?eld, and fosters career development and professional advancement. The CAA website contains listings of fellowships, awards, competitions, calls for papers, and other opportunities in the visual arts. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the visual arts, art history, or the humanities. Bene?t of membership include a subscription to Art Journal and access to CAA’s Online Career Center.

The College Art Association offers various Awards for Distinction honoring individual artists, art historians, authors, curators, and critics whose accomplishments transcend their individual disciplines and contribute to the profession as a whole and to the world at large.
