American Craft Council

The American Craft Council is a national, nonpro?t educational organization that promotes understanding and appreciation of contemporary American craft. Programs include the bi-monthly magazine American Craft, annual juried shows presenting artists and their work, leadership conferences, annual retail and wholesale shows, and a special library on contemporary craft, education grants, workshops, seminars, and other services to the public.

The Aileen Osborn Webb Awards honor individuals and organizations whose artistry and leadership have enriched the craft ?eld in the United States. The awards are named for the American Craft Council’s founder, whose vision and generosity have inspired and supported its work for over 60 years. The Council also recognizes outstanding design and craftsmanship with Awards of Excellence presented to artists exhibiting in the annual American Craft Council shows.

Professional members of the American Craft Council bene?t from many services including a competitively priced property and casualty insurance program, among other member bene?ts. Membership is open to artists, educators, scholars, collectors, gallery owners, and anyone with an interest in craft.
